The rights holder is shopping it around for other artists to record, so if someone else picks it up, Waylon's version may end up being available for sale as a compliment. But that's the right's holder's decision, of course. It's only because of Eric Malmstrom's close relationship with the rights holder that we were able to legally play the song on the show at all! Literally, no other source in the world can legally play it. That's why I felt very proud to have been able to bring it to you this month in the contest. We all owe Eric, and his friend who gave him permission, a great deal of thanks for this very special treat. I am very happy that you voters kept the song in until the last week!
