Dee Reeves’ October 2009 Hossey Award Picks
Dee Reeves lives in England and is a major supporter of independent musicians all over the world. She was, for example, responsible for us picking Steve Carlson’s song “Stop” in the August contest, and she was even more responsible for it getting a huge number of votes. (It’s currently the record holder for most votes in a month.) Dee does her best to avoid the limelight herself and to keep the focus on the musicians she supports, but I did manage to get her to agree to be a guest DJ. (She picked songs with the help of all her friends in Steve Carlson’s fan page – one of the best group of independent music fans that I’ll ever come across.) Because of her overall modesty, I’m not sure I’ll be able to convince Dee to send me a picture and a bio to post here. We’ll see. In the meantime, just check out her picks and look Dee up on Steve Carlson’s page. You won’t meet a cooler person on the net. (Oh, and by the way, all the stuff below about each of Dee’s picks comes directly from her. Don’t want to confuse you about who is actually saying, “I” in the blurbs.)
