Wow! What fun this contest has been! It was a good time “defending” Steve C. against such worthy advisaries. Congratulations to all! As someone who can’t sing a note, seeing (hearing?) so much talent is thrilling! HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL!

Congrats to all the musicians involved in this contest all year long. I didn’t start following until August but, from what I’ve seen, you’re all class acts. I hope your exposure here brings you closer to meeting your dreams. I know I’ve found a couple of new groups to follow and that’s always a good thing.

I set my alarm so I could get up and follow the end of the race, and I could barely breathe as the minutes ticked down and the race got closer and closer. I was (of course :) ) thrilled with the outcome, but the real winner here is this station and independent music in general.

Thanks Hoss, for running this contest (despite all the obvious headaches involved) and introducing all of us to new music. I’m looking forward to big things from you in 2010, so you better deliver, dang it. ;)

    Mary

  5. Mike Parrish says:

Congratulations to Steve Carlson and his crew!! Talk about a nail biter but this was like watching the Kentucky Derby!!

Thanks Hoss for having us because we certainly enjoyed being here. You really know how to bring in a new year with a bang!

Thanks to all the bands who participated in the show this year – you guys and gals are awesome and we’ll certainly be promoting you all to all of our friends.

To my ROWDY crew of friends, geez, all I can say is thanks so much for showing such a huge outpouring of support. We love you all so much and hope to visit you in your town (or somewhere close by) in 2010.

Thanks for supporting independent music and don’t forget to visit Hoss’ Music Store because you can purchase the music of any or all of these bands right here. Supporting independent music allows all of us to continue to bring you new tunes and your purchases from Hoss’ Music Store allows Hoss to continue to introduce you to new artists all year long.

From all of us here at Willow Street Entertainment, Best wishes for a very safe, healthy and prosperous new year! Happy 2010 everybody!!
    Mike

    Don Cudd (aka Hoss) Reply:

Oh yeah, Mike, and speaking of the Music Store… Many new changes coming to that in 2010!

Among the changes, folks will be able to buy Mike Parrish’s own “Texas in The Man” CD directly through this site. Thanks are due to you Mike for agreeing (many months ago) to be one of the first participants in HossTheBoss.com’s CD of The Day Show coming soon! As part of that show we’ll be featuring a new CD in its entirety each day along with an interview of the band, and listeners will be strongly encouraged to log on and buy the dang thing if they like it. (Do you remember signing up for that, Mike? I know you’ve probably slept since then.)

I thought I would have that show going on the station in May or June of 2009. But everything always takes longer than I plan. (Is that just me?) Realistically speaking, it will now be ready to go in February 2010. And given your performance in The Finals, Mike, I think it makes sense to start the show off with your CD.

(By the way… I’m sure most (if not all) of the other bands in the Top 10 will be interested in participating in the show, too. I just haven’t asked them yet. Never fear! You’re invitation will be coming very soon!)

    Truly Blue Reply:

This was a horse race? “She Loves” and “Blue Jean Baby” are horses and Carlson and Parrish jockey’s? No wonder why all their fans were chasing both their asses.
