January 2010 Winners
Posted January 2nd, 2010 by Don Cudd (aka Hoss)
These are the Top Finishers for January, 2010. They’ll be moving on to the contest Finals in December. (Usually we have 5 finalist songs, but this month we have 6 because voting was accidentally left open longer than usual, and the votes that put Rebel Road ahead of Moonshine Bandits came after the noon Central time cuttoff.)

Right on, Nighthawk! Just count the votes at noon…if its tied, its tied…I don’t think it was. Announce the winner, and let’s move on!
Hoss, – my fans are very loyal and passionate and I am humbled by them for showing their love and how much they care for me – and we are snowed in here in Memphis… I think a combination cabin fever and just really wanting to see a home girl shine has gotten a little out of hand – Memphis gets the short end of the stick a lot and a lot of people really came from out of nowhere to vote – and so many people have thanked me for turning them on to your station that they are listening to now daily!
I really do thank you HOSS, – YOU – for all the support you have given me over the years, and hope that you take all their comments in stride – the best part about all this is that SO MANY PEOPLE ARE LISTENING AND SUPPORTING INDEPENDENT MUSIC THAT DOES NOT SUCK!!!!
Hats off to ALL THE MUSIC YOU PLAY.
talk to you in a few – I’m scared – Nancy
If you want your contest taken seriously then perhaps you should run it that way. These people have driven traffic to this site every day for many days, thus taking you and your contest seriously. Where in your rules does coming in second make you a “co-winner”?
Either it’s a contest, with a numerical winner, or it’s not. This waffling has only created ill will and distrust.
Perhaps you should try your hand at politics or running a Boy Scout troop.

In fact…I’ve got text messages and facebook posts to prove that at 11:34CST, Nancy Apple’s Voodoo Woman was in the lead and never looked back….
Let me know how you would like to receive the data.
Right is right and I think your integrity is on the line here. What say you?
Disqualify them both and award it to the third place guy! ;o)
At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter who won – all the top 5 go through to the end-of-year comp to battle it out again anyway, so the ‘champ’ label is just that – a label! They’re all great tracks! And thanks to everyone who voted for mine!
