The February 27 Hossey Award live show will feature the usual array of interviews and bonus songs from our Top 5 bands for February. But we also have some interesting news to pass along from the 2009 contest champion Steve Carlson.
Because I have learned well from watching nightly television newscasts, I will not be telling you this news here, dang it. You’ll have to listen to the show. (And you’ll have to listen to the whole dang show, because the news is coming at the very end, and never really know what time the show will end at any given week.) Or you’ll have to catch one of the replays.
After the last of the replays have aired (on March 5), I may go ahead and post a printed version of the story here on the site. But then again, I may not.

I will never be able to listen to Wasted Jamie in the same way ever again. lol
OK Hoss, I listened to the show, so now I know that Steve Carlson used to date a girl that’s making a living now on the notoriety of having dated Tiger Woods, and that Steve wrote the song Wasted Jamey about her. Is that song in our computerized rotation?

Dang it, Tony! In all of your days of broadcasting, didn’t they ever teach you how to tease people properly? If they didn’t, I guess that’s why I like you. Mama Hoss always told me it’s not nice to tease. I guess she was right.
I guess I will have to put that song in the computerized rotation, now, huh? More Steve Carlson on the station! Whoooo hoooo!

Your tease-spoiling summary forgets to mention one important point:
The girl is very good lookin’. Yet Steve just sat there while she was drunk and thought up a silly song about her. Meanwhile, Tiger Woods, the man main claim has the most “mental toughness” of any athlete, had everything to lose by falling for the charms of this young lady, yet he did it anyway.
Wow.. So, Chris Rock’s line isn’t true afterall: A man isn’t necessarily as faithful as his options. Hahahahahaha. All us faithful guys in the world owe Steve a little thanks!
