This Sunday, March 7th, starting at 7pm CT, I’ll be playing 2 new cds I just got in, The Wailin’ Jennys–Live At The Mauch Chunk Opera House, and Hayseed Dixie’s latest (that just came out Feb. 23rd) Killer Grass. I’m using a song from each of these cds for March’s Hossey Music Award Song-Voting Contest, “Motherless Child” from The Wailin’ Jennys (from Ottawa), and “Norfolk Girl” from Hayseed Dixie (from Tennessee & London). I got permission to play both of these groups from their record labels, The Wailin Jennys from Red House Records in
Connecticut, and Hayseed Dixie from Cooking Vinyl Productions in London. Also, if I have time, I will be playing Backseat Molly’s debut
cd “Texas Not Tennessee”, (which I discovered on my last show was a corrupted file on HTB that actually had only one of their songs on it), so I’ve corrected the problem and re-entered the cd they sent me into our computerized rotation. It should be a good show, so Don’t Miss It, or, if you do, catch it on one of the replays. Also, check out the replay of my last show all this week, to hear my ten picks for March.
I love Hayseed Dixie and didn’t know they’d come out with a new cd. Looking forward to hearing it. I can say the same about the Wailin’ Jennys. I haven’t heard anything new from them since you were playing their cd “Firecracker” last summer. Sounds like you’ve got another dynamite show lined up!!
