February 27 Interviews Now Available For Download

During the  Hossey Music Award Song Voting Contest Show for  February, 27, 2010 we did our usual: we invited everybody who made it into the Top 5 for the month to be on the show. (And in this case, we had a special treat as Pam Mayo, manager for our guest DJ Mike Parrish, filled in for Mike during our interview with Buddy Hodges and gave us an interesting update on the Sara Evans/Craig Schelske divorce case. No, HossTheBoss.com doesn’t normally get into gossipy “entertainment” news like this, but Pam’s story is kind of interesting and enlightening.)

You can download the recordings below. But, before you do, we want you to think/know about a few things.

1. Bandwith for HossTheBoss.com is not outrageously expensive, but it ain’t free. And this site is still far from profitable. So, if you’re going to download these interviews, just keep in mind that someone — namely me — is paying a little bit every time you do so. Donations appreciated (but never required). Click the support Hoss link at the top of every page of the site.

2. The interviews all include just a part of the song. We hate to do that, but, of course, since we never asked the bands for permission to make their songs available for free download, it’s the only right thing to do. If an interview gets your attention, and you want to hear a band’s song in its entirely again, well, you can listen to the station — the song will come up eventually, I’m sure — or you can buy the dang song and/or contact the band via links in Hoss’s Band Directory. The link is on the left.

3. We invite everyone in the Top 10 for an interview, but we aren’t always able to make connection with everybody. (In fact, it’s rare that we have more than half of the Top 10 bands on the show.) Many musicians are traveling, playing gigs, working day jobs or just chillin’ out away from a telephone on Saturday afternoons, and so our schedules just don’t jibe with theirs. If we miss interviewing your favorite band in any given month, please know that we did our best and that we’ll, more than likely, have the band on the show again in a future month for another chance at an interview.

Here’s the Interviews
