Read About Hoss’s Dang Temporary Program Changes
A couple of things that regular HTB listeners will be interested in:
1. The April edition of the Hossey Music Awards Show was already scheduled to begin on Friday (April 2) instead of the usual Saturday in order to accommodate the Hoss family’s Easter travel plans. But now the show will be delayed by entire week so that I can focus my attention on the many family members who will be arriving in Corpus Christi over the next few days to attend the funeral service of my very beloved 97 year old step-grandmother. A replay of the final show from March (featuring several entertaining and interesting musician interviews) will air at 2 p.m. April 3 and at the regular replay times all next week. We’ll then begin the April show at 2 p.m. Central Time on Saturday, April 10 (my 42nd birthday, by the way), and the April contest will run through noon on May 1. My guest DJs Tony Kinsel, Luna and I will have 30 new songs to introduce you in April, and I’m particularly excited about my own set of picks.
2. The heavy metal music you will hear from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Thursday night (April 1) will not be some sort of April Fools Day joke. No, “The Darkside with Draystin” (who is Tony Kinsel’s son, by the way) will be a temporary-but-regular part of the HTB programming from here on out. While we’re getting the show re-established — Draystin was developing a decent little following with the show last summer and fall before changes in his day job made it difficult for him to continue — the Darkside will take over the main HTB stream on Thursdays for a couple of hours. But, yes, we all know that mixing metal with everything else that HTB plays is a little too weird for a lot of people’s taste. So we’re planning now to give The Darkside it’s own 24-hour-a-day stream that will be accessible via this site. It’s not yet clear when that will be ready to go, but, very likely within the next two weeks. In the meantime, just hold your ears a little if you tune in to HTB from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Central on Thursday. For more about Draystin’s show, check out his MySpace page.

Just wanted to pop by and give you some love. I know today was a rough day for you. I’m glad you had such a wonderful woman in your life. My prayers are with you as you deal with her loss. ~Amy
I’m sorry for the loss of Grandma Hoss. You and your family are in our thoughts this Easter weekend. I am looking forward to next Saturday, though, when my picks will start winning over your “exciting” picks ( even though it’ll be your birthday!)
Just wanted to take a moment and let you know that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers!
Melissa

The Freedom Festival in July, and the Wine and Arts festivel in October are coming up. We want you to do a live show from Wharton at one or both of these. Or you could just come out to the house and do a live show from here:) We don’t drink any more(or any less), and we’ll try to keep our dawgs from pissing on your tires.
