March 27 Interviews Now Available For Download

During the  Hossey Music Award Song Voting Contest Show for  March 27, 2010 we did our usual: we interviewed a lot of the bands that made it to the Top 10 for the month. You can download the recordings below. But, before you do, we want you to think/know about a few things.

1. Bandwith for HossTheBoss.com is not outrageously expensive, but it ain’t free. And this site is still far from profitable. So, if you’re going to download these interviews, just keep in mind that someone — namely me — is paying a little bit every time you do so. Donations appreciated (but never required). Click the support Hoss link at the top of every page of the site.

2. Most of the interviews all include just a part of the song. We hate to do that, but, of course, since we never asked the bands for permission to make their songs available for free download, it’s the only right thing to do. If an interview gets your attention, and you want to hear a band’s song in its entirely again, well, you can listen to the station — the song will come up eventually, I’m sure — or you can buy the dang song and/or contact the band via links in Hoss’s Band Directory. The link is on the left.

3. We invite everyone in the Top 10 for an interview, but we aren’t always able to make connection with everybody. (In fact, it’s rare that we have more than half of the Top 10 bands on the show.) Many musicians are traveling, playing gigs, working day jobs or just chillin’ out away from a telephone on Saturday afternoons, and so our schedules just don’t jibe with theirs. If we miss interviewing your favorite band in any given month, please know that we did our best and that we’ll, more than likely, have the band on the show again in a future month for another chance at an interview.

Here are the Interviews

Christian Kane
Dennis Gurwell
Pusher Better (Dave Cobb and Coach)
RipCord64 (Ollie Dempsey)
The Kaniacs (Christian Kane’s Fans)

WOOHOO!! There’s a FULL MOON outside my window tonight…and i’m a Cancerian, like Christian..That’s my excuse for listening to this interview 3x – at 1 am my time – that ’s Kuala Lumpur West Malaysia !!! I think you got Christian talking so..naturally & loved his laughter too ! It had a very friendly (sometimes dang bit confusing;D) flow to it . I’ve just finished downloading for my Christian Kane collection..
Oh Yeah, unbelievable you watched Leverage only what twice?! Like what “other” good stuff is there currently anyway LOL!
Having Christian Kane ultimately on ALL radio stations worldwide would be sooo good..I think his speaking and singing voice brings out the best in the words of the song. Thank you for an enjoyable interview to both of you.

    Hi Hoss

Just listened to the Christian Kane interview since it was hard for us to hear while we were waiting(FOR THREE HOURS) to talk to you… It was a great interview and now you know why we are Kaniacs!

Not bitter about the wait – nope not at all (lol) However, I went to listen to the Kaniac interview to see just how stupid I sounded…. and it is linking me to an interview from 2/20 with Buddy Vargas.

    *crying a little inside

Can it be corrected? or did I sound so bad you really dont want anyone to hear?

    Hi Melissa,

Wow. How much more abuse can I heap upon your faithful, loyal Kaniacs!? Geez.

Very sorry about that! The link is working correctly now, dang it! I hope you’ll finally get to hear that you didn’t sound bad at all!

Thanks for getting the fix up so quickly! I spent my Friday night listening to the Kaniacs. What an exciting life I lead!

    You girls did good.

I have to say that previously I had never met or seen Mr Kane as you Kaniacs know. those with us at the convention know who the Kaniac is in my family, he made her feel so special as I know he does all his fans and despite knowing I’m a Steevie fan he called me Moma. gave me a hug and was very gracious indeed. He certainly does deserve all the loyalty his fans give him and really does want to give a lot back.

I am also glad that I got to meet you ladies whilst out at the Con.

Thanks Dee! It was a pleasure meeting you as well, I certainly hope it will be at least an annual meeting!

The two make an amazing duo! (I have all of Steve’s music too!!!)
