I’ll be “unfairly promoting” 4 of my September picks, this Sunday night, starting at 7pm CT. First up will be, from Tempe, Arizona, A Boy Named Sioux, with their cd “The Next Big Thing”, from which I’ve chosen the song “Devil Made Their Blue Jeans” as their September contest entry. Next up, from Newnan, Georgia, Adam Grant & Robert E. (A.K.A. Badhorse), and their cd “Adam Grant & Robert E.”, from which I chose their song “That’s Just How I Roll (Extended Mix)” for their entry. 3rd up on the show will be, from Ft. Worth, Texas, Chatterton, and their EP cd “The Cold Open”, from which I chose the song “A Good Place To Start”, as their contest entry. Then, I’ll wrap up the show with a 3-girl group from Corpus Christi, Texas, Scarlet, and their EP cd “The Scarlet Band Sneak Peek”, from which I chose the song “Pills” as their contest entry. It promises to be a great evening of Arizona Rock, Georgia Country, & Texas Country-Rock Music, so, as I always say “Don’t Miss It, Dang It!! (or you’ll miss something good!!) And, if you think it’s unfair for me to be promoting my own picks on my own show, ask Hoss to give you a show, (or shut up)!!
We saw D.L. Marble at this little bar in Tempe AZ, on open mic. night. The house band (A Boy Named Sioux) were very cool and let him do a couple of his songs during their set. Fun times.
I’m glad to see you’re bringing back A Boy Named Sioux! I loved their Pirate Pants song, and I still find it playing in my head sometimes. I’ve never heard of the other 2 groups, but you haven’t played anyone bad so far. I’ll be listening.
