- Voting is over for September, and below are the final results. The Top 5 finishers for September will move on to The Finals contest in December. All the other songs will end up back on HossTheBoss.com in one way or another at some point, certainly. Thanks to everyone for another great, fun contest. This month’s shows were hampered by technical problems related to HossTheBoss.com’s move to a new studio/home, and everyone’s patience has been great to behold. Our move will be completed by October 15 and, barring some other unforeseen problems, we’ll be starting our October contest that day. After that, we’ll be back to business as usual, and all of the improvements we’ve been promising on HTB will be closer than ever to becoming reality.

I just heard from Don (Hoss The Boss) that we will not be doing a live contest show tomorrow, and so we won’t be doing any of the interviews that we’d lined up. We’re sorry, but I guess you can blame the incompetence of AT&T for not having his internet connection fixed. As you probably noticed, the site is not even broadcasting now. Don says the voting should end automatically for this month’s contest tomorrow at noon, and he’ll then try to post the top 5 winners that will advance to the finals in December. Unfortunately, we won’t be doing a show the first Saturday in October, but , hopefully, we should be back on by the 2nd Saturday, so we’ll still be doing a song-voting contest for October. Please bear with us.

How come I never hear any Texas music on here, anymore? I haven’t heard any Robert Earl Keen songs in months, except on my dad’s show, and I miss them!

Thanks Josh for shaming me into finally finding the time to fix the little technical problem (well, it was actually not all that little) that has been plaguing our music rotation for several weeks now. All is finally well now. I think you (and everyone else) will find our mix much more to your liking these days.
And, just as soon as we get into our new home/studio (hopefully in 3-4 weeks) I’ll be unveiling all the other great new programming that I’ve been promising for weeks, months, and I guess even years.
