DANG IT!

We were seconds into what was sure to become one of the most memorable live shows we’ve ever done on Saturday (March 19) and the computer on which we produce the show had an unexpected coronary. (It had been recuperating from some problems during last week’s show, but doctors had given it the okay for duty today.)

Fortunately, we were able to get the beloved patient to the hospital quickly. It is now resting comfortably and expected to make full recovery by next week. But, getting the show going again today after this trauma is just not possible.

So… The HossTheBoss.com stream will remain silent for a little while  in honor of our dear, overworked, but valiant computer we have come to all know affectionately  as “Crappy Ass.”

Crappy Ass’s doctor says he is hopeful that our friend will be back available for Interview Week duty in time for our next scheduled live Hossey Music  Awards Show, Friday March 25. (Yes, one of the announcements I was going to make on today’s show is that, for reasons related to Hoss’s non-Hoss life, we will be ending the March contest 1 day earlier than we’d orginally planned and doing the final live show of the month on Friday instead of Saturday.)

I hope all of the Interview Week participants — several of whom were looking forward to telling some amazing stories — will accept my apologies and be able to join us on next week’s show.  My guest DJs and I will be in touch with you about that shortly.

P.S. — Because of the problems… we’re not eliminating anyone this week. All 20 songs that were alive after last week’s show will remain in the contest through showtime on Friday. But only the Top 5 at the start of the show will make it to The Finals.
