I vote every day, keeping our boy Jamie on top. What do the final winners of this contest win? Thank you

Just a crappy ol $13.00 trophy, but along with that comes priceless braggin rights. Not to mention a full year of air play on Hoss’ show heard around the world, and live, on air interviews for the top finalist.

The great part of this thing is there are wannabe’s, up and comers, and real stars all competing for that danged ol $13.00 trophy. It’s one heck of a fun time with plenty of great music thrown in for the fun of it.

Winner gets to be in the finals and then if they win the december round than they get a plaque. It’s shiny and has cool notes and stuff on it. I’m going to put mine in the studio.
Jamie has some great tunes, I see why you are a fan:-) I must say I heart “I heart Honky Tonk” too, But! Jamie doesn’t have Turd in his pocket. With Turd you can go a long way. Good luck and god bless..ox..Cat

Well, actually Turd has divided loyalties this time around so he’s not completely in my pocket. Jamie is experiencing the devotion of the Turd too this time around. I really don’t have any problem with that…there’s plenty of Turd to go around, this being an election year and all.
Country Fan, I hope all this helps to answer your question. Cat was the winner last year so she’s the best qualified to comment on the relative beauty of the plaque.
Turd is an evil genius who lives down in Florida. I agree with what he’s saying about the fun factor in this wacky contest. In reality I’m just a run down old school teacher, but this contest lets me play on the same stage with some genuinely talented artists..and the best thing is that when you look up and down the roster of contestants you’ll find yourself asking, “Why isn’t THIS one a star already?” Hoss and Tony are giving all these great talents a stage they wouldn’t have otherwise.

Is this true Turd? Your buddy needs you more than ever now and you are going to crap out on him now? You are right about all the great artist here but Dave is just as good. I must say I’m a little disappointed in Turd. Hey Jamie, Love your tune too. Good luck to you and everyone here:-) C

    My Dear Cat,

You really know how to make a Turd feel crappy. Let me just say this, as a registered voter in this fine, professionally ran song competition, I can rightfully cast my vote for up to 5 entrants each time Crappy Ass lets me. And under those circumstances, I am placing multiple votes each and every time I visit Hoss’ “You Can Vote Now” site.

Furthermore, I can truthfully swear to the “Big Bubba Above”, with no fear of perjury or lightin bolts, that I have done nothing improper in my voting during this danged silly contest.

Every single time I was able to vote this month, I have cast no less than 2 votes, and with each one going for a different entrant. Therefore each of the before mentioned artists has gotten the benefit of a Turd’s vote of confidence.

Because as you all should know by now, there is enough of this Turd to go around.

.I heart Turd, And everyone here:-) ox

    Dave By God Younger Reply:

Cat…we need to write a song…”I (heart) Turd! Maybe Farnell can kick in some lyrics too. Maybe then everybody would quit trying to squish our beloved Turd Ferguson.

    Tony Reply:

    Do the “Turd Stomp”!!

    Dave By God Younger Reply:

Tony…that sounds like a winner…just be sure to take off your shoes outside.
If we do write Turd Stomp we’ll cut you in for a slice. You might find yourself facing the pooperazzi…

That’s “the shite” for sure. Thats what hits are made of! This is big! Wow, lets getter done!

Be sure to tune in to Friday’s live interview show. Among my picks scheduled to appear, so far, are Dave Younger, from Pine Grove, Calif., whose song “Karaoke King” is in a battle with Jamie Davis for 1st place, and Jesse Brand, from Ft. Worth, Tx., whose song “South Padre Sand” is currently in 4th place. Unfortunately, young Caitlyn Brette, from Tyler, Tx., will be in school that afternoon, and can’t make it. Her song “Kiss & Tell” is currently in 7th place.

Jamie Davis has some great fans and he deserves a following like this. He’s been selling out pert near every show he’s played. I am enjoying this competition very much. Jesse Brand is certainly another great talent with a super band, and young Caitlyn Brette is absolutely the real deal. I’ll be honored to finish anywhere near any of them.

Hey Jamie Davis, I think Paul Carella is doing the rope-a-dope on us…we’re slugging it out and he’s just laying back waiting to move on up through the rubble with his great song. I’m having a lot of fun feeling like I’m running with the big dogs.

Also on the phone with us tomorrow afternoon will be Buffalo Head’s Mike Reed & Johnny Galloway, from Indianapolis, Indiana, whose song “Red Mountain” is currently in 5th place, and Cody Ives, from Little Rock, Arkansas, whose song “When We Roll” is in 9th place. “Don’t Miss ‘Em, Dang It!!” (As Hoss has been known to say!)

  3. Well…it was fun while it lasted. If I gotta come in 2nd…I’m glad it’s to Jamie Davis…..or Cat McLean…or Charissa Mrowka…I tried to call Turd to get him to investigate, but HE was voting for JAMIE!

    Turd Ferguson Reply:

Whats to investigate Dave? It just looks like we got us one hell of a “Hoss” race going on here for the #1 slot. Hoss, this danged ol contest is a real good-un this month. Thanks for all your efforts to get these tunes heard by the masses.

Everyone needs to vote early and vote often, for whichever song / artist that you want to see win, place or show…

The “Hoss” really is the Boss!

  4. Thanks to the good folks from my hometown Morgan Hill, California for all those votes! Between Cat McLean’s campaign managing and my old friends from home…Karaoke King is unexpectedly, amazingly, hanging on to first place. Cole & Younger are huge Jamie Davis fans and we fully expect him to beat us like a couple of red-headed step-children (sorry…ugly metaphor from a mercifully bygone age) but it’s fun while it lasts!

  5. Thanks Don and Tony for playing my old cover tunes. I recorded those sorta to get my chops up a couple years ago, and to learn how to use MY crappy ass machinery.
Farnell came along and bullied and beat me until I took up writing again, so for the last couple years it’s all been original stuff. 99% of it has been Cole-Younger songs.
Thanks to Hoss the Boss for giving me another reason to keep doing this nonsense.
