Here's where you can get a little preview of special stuff (aside from all the songs still in the contest, of course) coming up on the latest Hossey Music Award Song Voting Contest Automated shows (which air at 2 a.m. & p.m. Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and 2 a.m. on Saturdays.)

Don't forget the live show that airs every Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. (and replays on Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays).

Hossey Awards Show Featured Stuff for Jan. 25 – 29

We’re down to the end of our January contest. During our next live show, we’ll be paying tribute to each of the five Finalists who will be headed to The Finals in December, plus we’ll be playing a lot of “bonus” songs from bands in this month’s show. While you’re waiting for that, here’s a schedule of what’s featured on the automated show this week:

Tuesday’s Show (Jan. 25)
Show Starts at 2 p.m. & a.m. Central Time

Bonus Segment #1 –  20 minutes into the show

  • Replay of the two interviews we’ve done with New Mexico singer Jim Jones. (One from June of 2009 and one from this last weekend.)

    • Replay of the interview we did last weekend with Chris Dair and his wife Vivian.

    Thursday’s Show (Jan. 26)

        As always, all 30 songs in this month’s contest will get a spin during each automated show  We just don’t play the songs in any particular order during the show. We also play a good number of songs that were winners in previous editions of the show, too.

        Hossey Awards Show Featured Stuff for Jan. 18 – 22

        Well, the bands are all now duking it out to see who will be around for “Interview Week” on our next live show, January 22 at 2 p.m. central.  Everyone in the Top 10 when the show starts gets an invitation to be on the show, and Interview Week is always fun.  While you’re waiting for that, here’s a schedule of what’s featured on the automated show this week:

        Tuesday’s Show (Jan. 18)

        Bonus Segment #1 –  20 minutes into the show

        • Replay of our December 18 interview with Keith Schultz of the band 484 South. (We dedicated our show that day to the band’s bass player Don Hull who passed away in mid December.) The band’s song “Lost Highway” will follow.
        • Replay of our crazed July, 2010 interview with Leslie Craig, an independent singer in Nashville and one of the most successful guest DJs in the history of our silly little show. Leslie’s song “Rock Star” will follow.

        • Replay of our December 18 interview with Nancy Apple one of the only (if not the only) singers to appear in all 3 editions of The Finals of our cockamamy show. Nancy’s song “Voodoo Woman” will follow.
        • Replay of our May, 2010 interview with Edna Delagarza of the Corpus Christi, Texas band Lyrical Bynge. The band’s amazing cover of “Ball & Chain” will follow.

        • Replay of both interviews we’ve done over the last two years with Jamon Scott, leader of The Toluenes, one of the bands in this month’s contest. (They’re song Bones is just out of the Top 10 as of this writing.) We’ll also toss in two of Jamon’s songs that aren’t in the contest this month.

        • Replay of the interviews we did in 2010 with Chris Dair, the man behind “Lost in Wasted Time” in this month’s contest and his wife Vivian. We also play a beautiful song that Vivian recorded and at least one other song from Chris.

        • Replay of our Dec. 18 interview with Wendy Rich, who is leading this month’s contest. We’ll play her song Driver, which finished strong in the 2010 finals.
        • Replay of our popular interview from Feb. 2010 with Ruby Jane Smith, the teenage fiddlin’ phenom from Austin, Texas. We’ll play at least one the amazing songs that she has recorded in recent years.

        • Replays of the two interviews we did with members of 484 South whose song Baton Rouge is in this month’s show. We’ll also play at least two of the band’s songs.

        Hossey Awards Show Featured Stuff for Jan. 13 – 15

        Well, we named Christian Kane’s “House Rules” our 2010 Song of the Year on New Year’s day, and now it’s time to get movin’ in the 2011 contest. We debuted the 30 songs for January during our January 8 live show, and voting is now well underway.  Here’s a schedule of what’s featured on the automated show this week:

        Hossey Awards Show Featured Stuff for November 30

          Congrats are  due to The Barnyard Cupcakes of Las Vegas. Their crazy song “Sweet Anna” was the big November winner in our contest, and we’ll be playing it — along with each of the other Top 5 songs — near the top of every automated show this week.
