This Sunday night I’ll be playing cds from the last 3 of my September picks in the Hossey Music Awards Song-Voting Contest. At 7pm, I’ll start with ”Burning The Day”, the brand new cd from The Randy Rogers Band (Austin, Texas), from which I chose the song “Damn The Rain” as their contest entry. Up next will be the debut, self-titled cd from Cory Mitchell & The HonkyTonk Heroes (Nederland, Texas), from which I chose their song about the Iraq war “Private 1st Class” for the contest. Then I’ll close my show with the as-yet unreleased debut cd from The Fire Men (Los Angeles, California), “California Sun”, from which I chose the title track (featuring Micky Dolenz of The Monkees singing) for their contest entry. As always, it promises to be a good show, with lots of new music, so “Don’t Miss It, Dang It!!” (or you’ll miss something good!!!)

This Sunday night, I’ll be “unfairly promoting” 3 more of my September picks, starting at 7pm CT. First up will be, from Ahwatukee, Arizona, Bretheren Sol,(2008’s Hossey Music Awards Song-Voting Contest winner!) with their cd “Devil’s Rope”, from which I chose the song “Rescue Me Dear Mr. President” as their September contest entry. Next up, The Robert Shores Band, from Holdenville, Oklahoma, with their debut cd “Life Of Sin”, from which I chose the song “So He Rode” for their entry. Last, but definitely not least, will be Sunday Morning Headcount (from Lafayette, Louisiana), with 5 songs they sent me from their cd “SMHC”, including “Downpicking”, which I’ve chosen for their contest entry this month. It promises to be a good show, featuring lots of great music, so, as I always say, “Don’t Miss It, Dang It!” (or you’ll miss something good)!

I’ll be “unfairly promoting” 4 of my September picks, this Sunday night, starting at 7pm CT. First up will be, from Tempe, Arizona, A Boy Named Sioux, with their cd “The Next Big Thing”, from which I’ve chosen the song “Devil Made Their Blue Jeans” as their September contest entry. Next up, from Newnan, Georgia, Adam Grant & Robert E. (A.K.A. Badhorse), and their cd “Adam Grant & Robert E.”, from which I chose their song “That’s Just How I Roll (Extended Mix)” for their entry. 3rd up on the show will be, from Ft. Worth, Texas, Chatterton, and their EP cd “The Cold Open”, from which I chose the song “A Good Place To Start”, as their contest entry. Then, I’ll wrap up the show with a 3-girl group from Corpus Christi, Texas, Scarlet, and their EP cd “The Scarlet Band Sneak Peek”, from which I chose the song “Pills” as their contest entry. It promises to be a great evening of Arizona Rock, Georgia Country, & Texas Country-Rock Music, so, as I always say “Don’t Miss It, Dang It!! (or you’ll miss something good!!) And, if you think it’s unfair for me to be promoting my own picks on my own show, ask Hoss to give you a show, (or shut up)!!

This Sunday night, August 22nd, starting at 7pm CT, I’ll be playing, from Russellville, Arkansas, Downday’s debut, self-titled cd. Then, from Lubbock, Texas, I’ll play what songs I have from The Haden Burchard Band (4, so far, since they’re still working on their debut cd). Following them, I’ll play the 6 songs from Tyler, Texas’ Whiskey Myers “Road Of Life” cd that I didn’t have time to play on my show last Sunday night. All 3 of these groups have songs in this month’s Hossey Music Awards Song-Voting Contest, so, yes, I’m “unfairly promoting” my own picks again. If you don’t like it, you don’t have to listen, but then, you’ll be missing some good music, so it’ll be your loss!! ~LOL~

I’ve just gotten in 3 cds that I want to share with my listeners this Sunday night, August 15th, starting at 7pm CT, all 3 from groups that are among my picks in this month’s Hossey Music Awards Song-Voting Contest. I’ll kick of the show with, from Atlanta, Georgia, The Zac Brown Band’s cd “The Foundation”, which features the song “Free”. Up next will be, from Beaumont, Texas, Longneck Road’s cd “Texas Rock”, featuring the song “Longneck Road”. I’ll finish my show with, from Tyler, Texas, Whiskey Myers’ cd “Road Of Life”, the title track of which is also in the contest. It should be a lively evening of Texas Country & Southern Rock Music, so, as I always say, “Don’t Miss It, Dang It”!!!
